Once Halloween is past and everyone is high from all the candy there is something that shifts in many people. Maybe it’s the increased level of sugar which makes people sweeter or it is them trying to be nicer so santa will be good to them. At The Vine Church we have an environment of Loving God through Loving Others all year long and Thanksgiving through the New Year is just another opportunity to continue this attitude.
This year for Thanksgiving we are making everyone aware of some opportunities to serve and love. Here are a few ways to get involved.
Kennedy Elementary School – they would like to put together Turkey & Stuffing, mashed potato, sweet potato, green bean and cranberry sauce meal for 45 families. The principal, Ryan Butcher and family, are part of The Vine Church family.
– You can donate items or a complete box.
Each box will have Turkey and Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce.
– You can make donations anytime leading up to the parent pickup on Nov. 18th and 19th.
If you would like to be involved in this outreach opportunity or need more information please contact Ryan Butcher at ryan.butcher@barrow.k12.ga.us or kathryn.bachman@barrow.k12.ga.us
StreetWise Georgia – will be providing meals to families they have helped throughout the year on Saturday Nov. 20th.
1. They need people to donate food for creating Thanksgiving groceries for these families.
2. People to serve the week of Nov. 15 – 19 to prepare boxes.

The Garden / 7 Bridges to Recovery – will be heading under the bridges of ATL on Thanksgiving Day to feed those who are separated from family and friends. This is a great opportunity for those of us who are so thankful for our family, friends and provision to give back. Everyone who would like to serve in this way is asked to meet at the Kmart parking lot on Cleveland Ave and I75 @ 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The address for this Kmart is

There will also be a Thanksgiving celebration dinner / lunch at 1:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at The Garden. This would be a great opportunity if you would like to take your family to join the women and children for a meal.
